Irina Laurenava
Body-Ballet Teacher and Biostimulation

Irina performed as a professional ballerina for over 20 years. Originally from Russia, she completed her training at the Minsk Ballet Academy and went on to dance with the Bolshoi Theater of Minsk, the Opera in Poznan (Poland), Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, and the Royal Swedish Ballet. During her years as principal dancer at the Swedish Royal Ballet, Irina had the honor of working with many well-known dancers and choreographers, including Mats Ek, Natalia Makarova, Patrice Bart, and Alexander Ekman. She also performed as a guest artist with ballet companies around the world, including Germany, France, Holland, Spain, Japan, and others. Additionally, Irina is a skilled ballet teacher and has taught at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and Base 23. She teaches private classes to young students, several of whom have gone on to win prizes and competitions. At Viva Studios, she teaches Body-Ballet classes, which offer adults the opportunity to train in rigorous ballet technique. With her clear instructions and careful eye for detail, Irina makes the exercises accessible for everyone. She also offers one-on- one sessions in Biostimulation, a method involving high-frequency vibration to promote flexibility, tone, strength and smoothness in the muscles. As a certified Biostimulation practitioner, she creates customized routines for her clients’ specific needs. Irina is also an avid tango dancer and an active member of the Stockholm tango community.
